Iran Press/ Middle East: In an interview with the Lebanese "Al-Ahed" news site, Mahdi Sobhani, Iran's ambassador to Syria stated: "Iran has been a supporter of Palestine and the resistance, and the aid it provides is also in this direction."
Condemning the Israeli regime's attacks against the Gaza Strip and al-Aqsa mosque, Sobhani said: "It is time for those who claim to defend human rights to open their eyes and see the crimes of the occupying regime against worshipers and pilgrims in Al-Aqsa Mosque."
The Iranian diplomat added: "The Zionist regime, which is facing extensive social and internal crises, wants to export its crises outside the occupied territories through these repressive measures against the Palestinian nation."
Sobhani emphasized that the Israeli regime wants to distract the public from these crises and the response of the Palestinian brothers to these attacks shows the dynamism and vitality of the resistance of the Palestinian nation and its continuance.
Iran's ambassador to Syria added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will keep its promise to support the Palestinian nation."
The Israeli forces have started a new round of violence against the Palestinians in the al-Aqsa mosque and last Wednesday attacked the pilgrims inside the Al Qubali mosque in the courtyard of the al-Aqsa mosque and tried to expel them from the mosque.
In this Israeli attack, more than 200 Palestinian worshipers were injured, and 400 others were arrested.
Since last Wednesday, al-Aqsa mosque has been a place of conflict and tension between the Israeli armed forces and the Palestinians hiding in the mosque.
In response to these attacks and crimes by the Israeli regime, the Palestinian resistance groups have targeted the Israeli settlements around the border of the Gaza Strip and the north of the occupied territory with rockets several times.
