Tehran(IP)- The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance stated that the president has always emphasized expanding relations with friendly countries and said that Iran is ready to sign a memorandum of cultural cooperation with Vietnam.

Iran PressIran News:  According to Iran press report on Thursday Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Culture Week in Tehran, in a meeting with Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, stated:

" Holding cultural weeks is one of the measures through which works of art can be introduced in the two countries."

Recalling the history of Iranian cinema, he noted: "Iran has a 100-year history in the field of cinematographic activities and is ready for joint cooperation with Vietnam."

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran also mentioned some of Vietnam's film works and said:

"There are dozens of war films about the historical resistance of the Vietnamese in the American attack on this country, and the Vietnamese are always in the minds of Iranians as selfless, resistant and defenders of their homeland They gave their lives to defend their country.

The Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman also expressed his satisfaction at being in Iran on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and attending the Vietnam Culture Week in Tehran.

Dinh Hoe mentioned some of the works exhibited by this country during the Vietnam culture week in Tehran and said: "In this week, an exhibition of traditional clothes, handicrafts, films, etc. will be displayed."

The Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman has visited Iran on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Iran-Vietnam diplomatic relations and to attend the Vietnam Culture Week in Tehran.

The opening ceremony of the Vietnam Culture Week in Tehran on Wednesday evening coincided with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between this country and Iran, with the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Tehran, Luong Quoc Huy." and a group of Iranian officials in the Cinema Museum of Iran.

This event is being held in various sections, including the exhibition of handicrafts, traditional clothes, books and photos taken from tourist, cultural and historical attractions, as well as Iran-Vietnam relations.
