Iran Press/ America: Iranian defense minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami met with his Venezuelan counterpart General-in-Chief, Vladimir Padrino López on Thursday.
Discussing bilateral defense cooperation, the two ministers agreed on a common and comprehensive 'road map' based on defensive capabilities of both countries. According to an Iran Press report, it is noteworthy that defense minister Hatami invited his Venezuelan counterpart to visit Tehran.
In turn, the top Venezuelan military official expressed his satisfaction at Iranian defense minister's presence in the inauguration ceremony of president Nicholas Maduro, who has just started a second term in office. The oath-taking ceremony was held on Thursday in Caracas.
The Venezuelan defense minister described Hatami's visit to Caracas as a turning point in bilateral relations between the two countries.

On Januaray 10, Iran's defense minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami arrived in Venezuela to talk about bilateral relations with senior Venezuelan officials.
