Iran Press/ Iran news: In meeting with the Head of the Syrian National Security Bureau, Ali Mamlouk, on Sunday, Iran's Ali Shamkhani said the US was present in Syria to loot the country's resources as it did in other countries and that its presence hindered peace maintenance in Syria.
Rear Admiral Shamakhani, the US was in Syria, like any other country in the region, to train and arm the terrorist groups, which prevented peace in the country.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran would stand by Syria as it did before to protect the Syrian nation and government from the US-backed terrorist groups, including ISIS.
Ali Mamlouk, for his part, appreciated the role of Iran in supporting Syria against the terrorist groups and the US devilish acts and stressed the continuation of Tehran-Damascus cooperation.
