Islamic Republic of Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva called on the UN Trade and Development members to fulfill their duties toward the Palestinian people.

Iran PressAmerica: During the 74th executive session of the United Nations Trade and Development Conference, Ali Bahreini condemned the Israeli regime's attacks on the innocent and oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and called for the establishment of a ceasefire.      

Emphasizing the effect of the long-term blockade of the Gaza Strip by the Israeli regime, he called on the members of the session to fulfill their duties and help the Palestinian people. 

As a result of the Israeli army's attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, over 14,000 Palestinians have been martyred and some 33,000 have been injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, Qatar, as one of the main mediators overseeing the ceasefire agreement process and the exchange of prisoners in the Gaza Strip, announced that an agreement had been reached for a temporary ceasefire. 219
