Tehran (IP)- Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki stated that with the implementation of "Each Home As a Health Post" (HAHP) program, 20 million female health ambassadors will be trained.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki spoke in the opening ceremony of the "Each Home As a Health Post" (HAHP) program via video conference.

Namaki said during the ceremony that "We came up with the idea that a person in the family should monitor the health of other members, and then the idea of HAHP program was formed. At the beginning, this work started as a pilot in three provinces of Qazvin, Kashan, and Hamedan, and it was supposed to be started on March at the national level, but we faced Coronavirus."

He further added, "If we had this plan and had 20 million health ambassadors before COVID-19 outbreak, the Minister of Health would not have had to announce every day that people should not travel, and these 20 million health ambassadors would have issued warnings and information; with the implementation of this plan, we will have 20 million health ambassadors at home."
