Tehran (IP) - The flags of Türkiye and Syria were displayed on the Milad tower of Tehran, the capital of Iran, in memory of the recent victims of the earthquake in these two countries.

Iran PressIran news: Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.5 and 7.8 on the Richter scale shook southern Türkiye and northern Syria on February 6, killing tens of thousands of people.

According to Iran Press, the International Affairs and Communications Center of Tehran Municipality displayed the flags of these two countries on the Milad tower of the Iranian capital to express sympathy with the earthquake victims of Türkiye and Syria.

In the same context, Derya Örs, the Turkish ambassador to Tehran, attended the Iranian Red Crescent Organization and thanked Pirhossein Kolivand, the head of IRCS, and the aid workers of this organization for their help to the earthquake victims.

From the very beginning of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the Islamic Republic of Iran announced its readiness to provide relief to the earthquake victims, and immediately, in addition to sending humanitarian aid, the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran also sent rescue workers to these countries to help the earthquake survivors.
