(IP)- Neogen team from Sharif University of Technology (SUT) of Iran stood first in the PetroCup competition in the field of oil and gas.

Iran PressIran News: PetroCup tournament is a global oil and gas competition where participants plan and develop oil fields in a virtual reality environment annually.

PetroCup online competitions are held annually within 9 leagues including North Eurasia, Middle East, South Asia, Europe, Africa, Far East, North America, South America, and Australia.

Neogen team (Aria Seif, Saba Kalati, Amir Hossein Abdul Maleki, Matin Goodarzi, Mohadesseh Ghanbari, Hossein Mohammadi, and Sobhan Kohanpour) from the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (PGE) of SUT having won the competition, will attend world championships on November.

After Neogen from Sharif University, the Jurassic team from the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, the Carbon team from Sultan Qaboos University of Oman, and the Triassic team from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) stood second to fourth.

The regional stage of PetroCup 2023 was held last week on May 31 and June 1.
