Tehran (IP) - The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that the development of relations with the Eastern region and Asian countries will be at the top of the government's priorities.

Iran Press/Iran news: Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, said in the weekly news conference that the relations with the countries of the East, Asia, China, and Russia will be pursued with seriousness and determination, and the continuation of these cooperations will be based on the common will and desire of Iran and Iran's partners, and these will be secured.

Kanaani emphasized: We are located in a complex region and consider regional cooperation the best way to resolve misunderstandings. Developing relations with the East and Asia does not mean ignoring the development of relations with other countries that want friendly relations with Iran. Along with the development of relations with the East and Asia, we will pay special attention to relations with other countries.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said: We will have positive reactions to positive actions.

Iran Is Against Any Measures for Border Changes

Regarding the Zangzor Corridor, which was a journalist's question, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran spokesperson stated: Corridors are the focus of attention today more than ever.

Kanaani stated: The basis of the published news and analysis about the Caucasus and the transit corridors and the alleged corridors following Putin's visit to Baku is the same as Lavrov's interview and the statements of the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

He added: This matter and these comments have become the basis for various viewpoints and theories, sometimes opposing the development of relations between Iran and some of our neighbors, and it is necessary to emphasize that the exact text of these statements should be referred to and taken into account in the analysis and interpretation of this issue.
Nasser Kanaani said: that Iran will continue to support the removal of blockages from economic connections and transportation routes in the region and the promotion of the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Peace in the Caucasus is in the interest of the region. Some powers and regimes outside the region want to turn the Caucasus into a zone of instability, and their priority is not peace, and they pursue destabilization in the region.

Kanaani said: We seriously support the strengthening of regional cooperation mechanisms based on the existing 3+3 model in the South Caucasus and its neighbors, and there will be another meeting in this regard. Iran supports peace and stability in the South Caucasus within the framework of the neighborhood policy, and we welcome the removal of blockages of transportation routes in the region within the framework of respect for independence, territorial integrity, and the interests of regional and neighboring countries.

He added: We are against the change of international borders. 204
