Iran Press/ Iran news: It was the third time the Omani Foreign Minister came to Iran in the past nine months. The discussions took place in a condition that the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for Political Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi took part in a conference 'Actions by key powers in the Middle East and their impact on the international security' in Tokyo of Japan, discussing regional issues and Iran's nuclear agreement 2015.
The Iranian diplomat asserted at the conference that the region's countries themselves should provide the security of the region.
The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also unveiled the initiative of Hormoz Peace Endeavour to preserve the peace, stability, and progress of the Persian Gulf and Hurmuz Strait.
The initiative pursues intra-regional cooperation to provide the security of the Persian Gulf region.
Experience has shown that the solution to the problems of the region will rise from within the region, and those who come from outside cannot bring peace to it.
The US troops have been present in the region since 2001, but they have never been able to secure it.
Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, also pointed to the very fact in his meeting with Oman's Foreign Minister Youssef bin Alawi, in Tehran.
Shamkhani referred to the failure of the US and its allies to create an international coalition in the Persian Gulf under the pretext of maintaining security in the region, saying that the US pursues its interests in the region, waging numerous wars and spreading terrorism.
Shamkhani pointed to Yemen's war as an obvious example of the warmongering policy of the US and its regional puppets, particularly Saudi Arabia, for exploiting turmoil in the region, saying the US and Israeli regimes benefit from the genocide in Yemen.
He advised the Saudi regime to submit to the Yemeni nation's demand for having independence, and avoid endangering the region's security any more.

Yousef bin Alawi also said in his negotiations in Tehran that achieving sustainable security in the region requires the agreement and mutual understanding of regional countries and the removal of the existing misunderstandings.
Bin Alawi emphasized that Oman is always ready to use its capacity to remove the existing tensions and create a constructive dialogue between countries in the region.
Iran has never sought to pose any threat or hegemony to the region. From this point of view, the Omani FM consultations in Tehran could be seen as a diplomatic effort to create regional convergence, a measure that could pave the way to facilitate dialogue and interaction with other countries in the region that are seriously seeking peace security.
What is taken for granted on the one hand is that as long as the US pursues its interests in the Persian Gulf states, it would not let peace and security be maintained there, resisting any measure aiming to converge the countries of the region.
On the other hand, the conformity of some regional Arab states with the US tension-making approach to the region is declining.
