Iran Press/Asia: The World Lifesaving Championships are currently being held in Gold Coast, Australia.
The Iranian team, composed of Mohammad Hosseini and Amir Arsalān Zarei, competed in the rope throw event in the pool category.
They successfully reached the finals and secured a silver medal, marking Iran's first medal in the history of the Lifesaving World Championships.
The Minister of Sports and Youth sent a congratulatory message celebrating this historic achievement for Iran in the pool category at the World Championships.Additionally, the head of Iran's Lifesaving Federation issued a statement expressing pride in the team's accomplishment.
In the message, it was noted:"I am extremely pleased that our national lifesaving team turned the global competitive stage in the pool rope throw event into a showcase of their capabilities, allowing the prestigious silver medal to shine on Iran's lifesaving record for the first time. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to this victorious team, the officials of the Lifesaving Federation, and the sports-loving people of Iran. Certainly, with strategic planning, we can look forward to even more medals in the future."
