On the final day of the Asian Karate Championship 2024, Iran's junior boys' and girls' teams showcased their prowess on the tatami, securing an impressive total of six gold medals, one silver, and four bronze medals, firmly establishing themselves at the pinnacle of Asian karate.

Iran Press/Asia: The championship took place over three days starting Friday, September 2, in Manila, Philippines, featuring 559 karatekas from 30 countries.

The Iranian team excelled in the youth category, rising above other formidable teams in Asia to claim the championship title.

On the concluding day, Iran's hopes shone brightly, achieving four gold and one bronze in the boys' category, along with two golds, one silver, and one bronze in the girls' category. Kazakhstan finished in second place with two golds and one silver, while Japan secured third place with one gold and two bronzes.

In the cadet and youth categories held on Friday and Saturday, Iran's team earned three golds and three bronzes on the first day, followed by one gold, three silvers, and two bronzes on the second day, ultimately earning them the title of runner-up.

In total, the Iranian delegation finished the championship with an impressive haul of ten golds, four silvers, and nine bronzes, solidifying their position as the runner-up in the Asian Karate Championship.
