Iran Press/ Middle East: Talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia began in Iraq a few months ago, and the two sides have held five rounds of talks so far, including a recent meeting in Baghdad last Thursday.
Last Sunday, Baghdad hosted a new round of talks between Tehran and Riyadh.
"The talks between Riyadh and Tehran have made significant progress and I am confident that Iran and Saudi Arabia will soon reach an understanding," he said.
Al-Kazemi said that further enhancement of relations between the countries of the region depends on the view that the region should be seen as a system of common interests; A system that cannot achieve the development and creation of economic infrastructure without resolving problems and crises.
The Iraqi Prime Minister also noted that the Baghdad government conducts its foreign relations in accordance with the Iraqi constitution. According to the constitution, Iraq must maintain its balanced relations with the countries and must not be a threat to its neighbors.
In a speech on Monday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein said that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia had reached a 10-point memorandum of understanding during the talks.
