Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Minsiter Mohammad Javad Zarif in an exclusive interview with the National Interests website which was published on Friday called Trump administration 's sending about five hundred more soldiers to Saudi Arabia as" a symbolic move that doesn’t help security for anybody." " We believe that countries in the region should provide their own security through cooperation and through regional integration, and not through trying to purchase it from outside. It’s not usually a tenable avenue to getting security," added Zarif.
Referring to US effort to supply the terrorist groups with more weapons in Syria, Zarif further explained that " You cannot arm terrorist organizations and expect them to win over people’s resistance—this is just impossible." Talking about US approach of maximum pressure taken against Iran, Zarif highlighted that " He{Trump} believes he is trying to get a better deal through pressure. If he has been advised that that is how to get a better deal, I think he has been misadvised—or ill-advised. Whichever you like".
Pointing to Iran's nuclear deal known as the Joint Plan of Action known as JCPOA, the Iranian top diplomat emphasized that"If Europe wants to pursue its own interests, it has to follow a different path."
Zarif, who has arrived in New York on Sunday has already been interviewing the BBC, NBC, and CNN as well.
Zarif also made a speech to the United Nations Economic and Social Council on Wednesday.
