Tehran (IP) - Iran's Government Spokesman said that the Europeans have contradictory remarks about using the 'trigger mechanism' against Iran, but our prediction is that they will not disrupt the JCPOA under current circumstances based on what they have said so far and they will not launch the mechanism.

Iran Press/Iran News: In response to the question of the Iran Press reporter, Ali Rabiei said: "All of the important Southeast Asian countries and our Eastern European friends and partners insist on staying within the JCPOA, each country for its own particular reason."

"We invite all parties in the JCPOA to fully comply with their obligations, instead of threatening us," the Government Spokesman said in his weekly press conference on Monday.

"There is no need to worry because Iran's legal reductions of commitments are the outcome of other signatories' non-compliance in honoring their obligations vis-a-vis Iran," he highlighted.

Rabiei added: "It is only the fulfillment of the EU commitments under the JCPOA that can stop us from continuing to scale back our commitments and return to full compliance."

Reiterating that Iran believes the three European nations are well aware that Tehran's steps to reduce commitments are reversible if they fulfill their obligations, he said: "We invite them to think carefully and deeply about any decisions they make and the repercussions and consequences of such decisions for the future, as they may do irreparable damage to JCPOA."

"We must make it clear that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not back down from its demands by these threats and we are ready for any scenario," the spokesman underscored.

"With such an approach and using internal capability we can push back the US," Rabiei said, adding: "The requirements of this path are efforts to increase public satisfaction, increase understanding with the people and strengthen domestic economy, democracy, and active diplomacy," the official concluded.
