Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Iran's Parliament said that the most important demand of the Iranian nation from the Iraqi government is the reopening of the ground routs to Iraq during Arbaeen occasion days.

Iran PressIran News: The Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq, Mohammed al-Halbousi, arrived at Mehrabad International Airport on Wednesday morning at the head of a delegation. 

Receiving his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran pursued the development of ties, especially with the neighboring and regional countries, and called for cooperation in different areas including the environment. 

Ghalibaf stressed that the Iranian nation, parliament, and administration would support Iraq's government. 

Mohammed al-Halbousi said for his part Iraq was trying to solve the regional problems through mediation, noting that dialogue between the neighbors could settle a major part of the problems. 

He stressed the respect for the other countries' sovereignty and the development of the ties between the regional countries. 

Al-Halbousi emphasized the removal of obstacles in parliamentary, economic, and social relations to improve bilateral ties.
