Iran (IP) – On Saturday, Iranian naval forces held the second day of their annual drill under the name of 'Sustainable Security' in the Caspian Sea.

Iran PressIran News: 1401 Sustainable Security Maritime Exercise, with the participation of various surface and flying units of the Navy, including missile launchers, sea-based helicopters and UAVs, and electronic warfare systems and ranges of rifle and ranger units of the Army-Navy, on three water, land and air levels was operated.

On the sidelines of the naval drill, Iranian Navy Chief-Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani stated that the Damavand vessel destroyer was built with the most up-to-date technology through the efforts of local experts to preserve Iran's territorial integrity in the Caspian region.

He noted that security levels would increase significantly if the drill cooperated with friendly, neighboring, and brotherly countries.

Rear-Admiral Irani pointed out that the fourth naval area of the Imam Reza Maritime District in the north of Iran was established in the early 1990th with complete military independence, and now it is one of the most important centers for maintaining security, peace, and friendship in the Caspian Sea.

The two-day Naval drill 'Sustainable Security' commenced yesterday (Friday) and was wrapped up on Saturday.
