Iran Press/Iran news: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the ceremonies at Husseiniyeh of Imam Khomeini are being held publicly.
The mourning ceremony was broadcast in full on Iran Pres.
The occasion, marks the end of the 40-day mourning period for Imam Hossein (AS), grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who was martyred along with 72 of his companions in the Battle of Karbala, in southern Iraq, in 680 AD.
