Iran Press/ Iran news: The permission was issued while the disciplinary committee of the World Judo Federation announced that Iran Judo Federation is banned from any international activities until September 2022.
Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, head of the National Olympic Committee, in a press conference held on Monday morning at the Salman Farsi Hall of the National Olympic Academy, said that Iran's judo participation in The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in Türkiye was part of the results of his recent trip to Switzerland and meeting with Officials of the International Olympic Committee.
Of course, Asghar Rahimi, the head of Iran's delegation to the games of Islamic countries in Türkiye, said at this press conference that Iran's judo team has already been granted permission to participate in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games.
There has been no talk about the participation of the athletes in this field in other international competitions, such as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifying competitions.
Other parts of this press conference included answers to journalists' questions about how to send Iranian athletes to the Games of Islamic countries in Turkey and more explanations about the recent trip of Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri and Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, head of the National Olympic Committee and Minister of Sports and Youth respectively.
Iranian teams to be present in games under name of great prophet Mohammed
The name of the great prophet was chosen as the name of the Iranian caravan in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games.
This matter was officially announced at the press conference on Monday by the officials of the delegation of Iran to The 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games in Türkiye.
According to Iran Press News Agency, Asghar Rahimi, head of Iran's sports squad in the Islamic Games, added: "Proud Iran" has also been chosen as the team's slogan in these games.
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games will be the 5th edition of the event scheduled to be held from 9 to 18 August 2022, at Konya, Türkiye, under the aegis of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF).
