Iran Press/ Asia: Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, head of the Sa'adi Foundation, congratulated all free Muslims, especially the people of Pakistan, in a message on the occasion of the 144th birthday anniversary of Iqbal Lahori, a prominent Pakistani Islamist poet, and politician.
In a message on the anniversary of the birth of Allameh "Mohammad Iqbal Lahori" (November 9), the head of the Sa'adi Foundation of Iran congratulated Persian language lovers.
Haddad Adel stated in this message:
Iqbal taught freedom, self-respect, and independence to Muslims, especially the people of India and Pakistan, with his thoughts and poems at a time when Western colonialism had targeted the dignity of the Islamic world and imposed humiliation on Muslims.
The head of the Sa'adi Foundation added: "This famous poet invited Muslims to self-knowledge and was a preacher and herald of unity in the Islamic world."
Muhammad Iqbal Lahori, the great Pakistani poet, and thinker was born in 1877 and passed away in 938; Lahore's encouragement of return of Islamic considerations into politics was welcomed by a group of thinkers.
