Iran's foreign trade grows by 38%

Tehran (IP) – Iran's foreign trade reached $ 90 billion in the last 11 months, a 38 percent increase over the same period previous Iranian year.

Iran PressIran News: Since taking office on August 3, 2021, Ebrahim Raisi's administration has shown that it believes in a balance in foreign policy, and developing cooperation with its neighbors and Islamic countries is a priority in its foreign agenda.

Deputy Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Foroud Asgari, announced the news, saying that the weight of goods exchanged between Iran and its trading partners in the last 11 months was 149,400,000, which is 12 percent more than in the first 11 months of the previous Iranian year.

He added that of this amount, 112,658,000 tons of goods worth 43,517,000,000 dollars were the share of exported goods, which shows a growth of 10 percent in weight and 40 percent in value.

Regarding the import statistics of goods in the last eleven months, Asgari stated that 36,777,000 tons of goods worth 46,577,000,000 dollars were imported to Iran from different countries during this period.

He noted that the main imports during this period were basic goods, livestock, production machinery, medicine, medical supplies, and essential goods that were imported to meet the essential needs of the people.
