Earlier in the day, Araghchi held a separate meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, where they exchanged views on the wars in Gaza and Lebanon. Both diplomats reaffirmed the necessity of joint efforts to bring an end to the hostilities and restore stability.

Cairo marks the eighth stop on Araghchi’s diplomatic tour of the region, which has already included visits to Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, and Oman over the past week.
