Tehran (IP) – The Spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the Islamic Republic's flag is the symbol of support for the world's oppressed people including the Palestinian nation.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanani told Iran Press on Sunday, that thanks to the Palestinian people's resistance, Iran's diplomatic efforts, and the resistance front's endeavor, the Palestinian issue has now turned into the most important in the world and the international bodies including the UN, the Security Council, and the UN Human Rights Council.

Talking to Iran Press on the sidelines of the ceremony to honor the Islamic Republic's flag, Kanaani said that support for justice and the rights of the oppressed nations is one of the principles of Imam Khomeini's ideology a principle of the Islamic Republic's constitution. 

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said that since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has adopted the policy in its foreign relations.

He noted that Iran has relations with many countries in the world based on mutual interest and that it is the only country that has used all its political, legal, international, and bilateral relations capacities to support the oppressed Palestinian nation.  

Kanani said that the support for the Palestinian nation is getting universal and expressed hope that the issue of Palestine would be solved within the framework of the recognized legal rights of the Palestinian nation.
