Tehran (IP) - Referring to the statistics of the first quarter of the current Iranian year, the head of the economic commission of the parliament said Iran's trade balance had reached 500 million dollars after about three years.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Wednesday, the Head of the Economic Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad-Reza Pour-Ebrahimi said: "Considering the priority given to the development of foreign trade in the plan of the current Iranian government, the possibility of joint economic cooperation between Iran and the neighboring countries is more possible and the export barriers can even be removed." 

Pour-Ebrahimi added: "We have seen a slight increase in the share of trade since the second half of last year."

He said: "After passing the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, with the cooperation of the Trade Development Organization, commercial centers for Iranians abroad were established, and we are using these capacities with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to benefit businessmen."

Pour-Ebrahimi went on to say: "With the reduction of the effects of sanctions, bank transactions became more possible and exports increased."

The head of the economic commission of the parliament said: "I predict that this positive business situation will be maintained."
