Tehran(IP)- Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy said that Iran and Russia's trading ties are reaching tangible results but require more efforts of economic traders.

Iran PressIran News: Attending the Iran-Russia economic conference on Tuesday, Mehdi Safari noted that transportation, customs, and the financial route are three main factors in the trade between Iran and Russia.

Mehdi Safari pointed to the numerous negotiations with Russia in order to promote bilateral trade, stating: We managed to equalize the transit tariffs related to the railway, and recently, we also managed to equalize the railway tariffs from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan and Iran. Also, Iranian ships can dock and load in Black Sea ports.

"We currently have 60 to 80 monthly flights to Russia, with good agreements being reached between Iran, Russia, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the countries of the Eurasian region on the road issues to equalize tariffs," he added. 

Also, the Russian Ambassador to Tehran, Alexey Dedov, highlighted that Iran and Russia have held negotiations on economic, political, and security issues, so high-ranking Russian delegations are visiting Iran to develop relations in various fields.
