Iran Press/ Africa: In an exclusive interview with the Iran press correspondent, Saeed Muhammed stated: “The strike by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Israeli regime was tantamount to international law because the United Nations has legitimately given its sovereign state the rights to strike back and the rights to solely defend its territorial integrity and the political independence, and if that particular sovereign state has been trampled upon and under international law or international Geneva convention the diplomatic nation of a sovereign state is automatically part of the territory of that sovereign state. “
According to him, an attack on a sovereign state of a country is tantamount to terrorist aggression and smart retaliation. And it was based on these that the Republic of Iran has responded swiftly to the apartheid regime of Israel. Article 51 of the United Nations Charter has made it clear that a country has the right to respond proportionally to any attack be it regional, local, or continental. So the drone and missile strikes by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Israeli regime was in consonant with the norms of international behavior.”
Saeed Muhammed further urged the countries supporting the Israeli Regime to give priority to the reasons and factors that led to this retaliation.
“We can see that anytime or when Israel Carries out aggression, the United States which is complicit in the genocide onslaught meted out to the Palestinian women and children is always silent, Britain is always silent, France which is a weak state and cannot decide on its own is also silent. The EU group of countries and the United States are always silent watching the aggression of the Israeli regime of Israel.”
Saeed Muhammed who doubles as a lecturer at the Islamic University Ghana added that Israel is a weak country that depends on the United States and Britain for support.
“These are the countries who give Israel the support to continue its aggression if not Israel cannot survive for a single day without the United States, Israel is a weak state it’s as weak as a spider web but what the G7 is doing is rather contributing to aggression, it’s contributing to war, it’s contributing to escalation which will not be in the best interests of the EU and the G7 group of countries because Iran as at now is technologically strong, militarily strong and such blind support has the potential to draw in other states like Russia and china because Russia is fighting Ukrainian while the United States and the EU are arming Ukraine.
So, there is that possibility that Russia may also come in in case there is going to be an alliance of countries fighting against the Islamic Republic of Iran, but the scientific and technological resolve of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a clear signal, a clear indication of the fact that no amount of aggression, no amount of threat, no amount of bully can render the technological scientific military-strategic, economic political resolve of Islamic republic of Iran.”
“Iran has come to stay and since the international system is a self-help system, Iran understands this since 1971 under the international arms embargo has been able to empower itself and has been able to domestically manufacture game-changing missiles like the Fatah hypersonic missile. The Islamic Republic of Iran is a peace-advocating state that does not countenance any threat from any bully.”
