Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development said transit which has stopped due to coronavirus will be resumed within the two next weeks.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday 12 May and on the sideline of a trilateral meeting with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan transport top officials, Mohammad Eslami Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development said that transit and transaction need to be resumed and that Iran’s Health Ministry has taken some protective measures in boarders.

Eslami said Turkmenistan’s health ministry has acted differently in this regard and asked us to replace 10meter gates with a 20meters gate to have total disinfection.

Also, it was agreed that all drivers and transportation personnel in passing trains must give the COVID-19 test and get their health certificate, he noted.

Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development expressed hope that business transactions and transportations will be resumed in 15 days.

Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami held a trilateral video conference meeting on Tuesday with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Minister of Transport Bayram Geldi Eyvazo and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport Elyar Ganiyev over transport and transit cooperation between Iran, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Eslami said Iran is ready to expand business transactions with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
