Tehran (IP) - Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, rejected the interventionist statements of some Western countries regarding the unveiling of the "Fattah" hypersonic missile stating that the missile activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are conventional and defensive and completely legitimate based on international law.

Iran PressIran news: Referring to AUKUS, a trilateral security pact between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Kanaani said: "These countries, which have a long and clear record of violating their international obligations in various fields, including nuclear tests, the regime of non-proliferation and hosting of nuclear missiles, and playing a destructive role in regional and international issues, have no right to comment on the legitimate and completely legal defense capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

 

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized: The action of UK, US and Australia in signing the Aukus agreement is a clear example of the politicized and discriminatory approach of the nuclear powers in transferring technology and highly enriched uranium to a non-nuclear country in violation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Kanaani praised the continuous efforts of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and their strategic achievements in strengthening Iran's defense capability and described it as a correct and effective measure to create deterrence against foreign threats and defend the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
