Iran Press/ Iran news: Seyyed Hesameddin Madani in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency said: "Biotechnology statistics indicate that we are improving in this field very fast. I think more than 5000 employees are working in this sector which is monitored and covered by our syndicate."
Madani also said the companies active in this sector produce more than 22 biopharmaceutical medical items in Iran which is an outstanding achievement.
He added in the Cells sector Iran stands 3rd among competitors in Asia after Japan and South Korea. He added that Iran has the first rank among Asian producers of biopharmaceuticals in the capability of production.
Madani added 80 products are in the development phase, and on the issue of export he noted that 25 countries are buying Iranian products and 30 countries are registring to import Iranian Pharmaceutical products.
He went on to say that 50 percent of export belongs to the medical biotechnological products.
