Tehran(IP)- The National Museum of Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense Managing Director says that Sacred Defense is one of the essential parts of Iran's history.

Iran PressIran news:  The National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense, the largest military museum in the Islamic world and the most modern museum in West Asia, is one of Tehran's tourist attractions.

National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense, in order to acquaint domestic and foreign audiences, especially the younger generation and future generations, with the culture and values of the Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense (Iran–Iraq War)*, established by the Municipality of Tehran in 2010 with an area of 220,000 square meters.

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Monday, The National Museum of Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense Managing Director Ali Asghar Jafari pointed to the enemy's eight-year imposed war on Iran with all its capacities and said that with their resistance, the Iranians ousted the enemy out of their borders and did not let any part of the country to be occupied.

He noted: "Iranian resistance is not something to hide in the history, so it is our duty to reflect martyrs, their families, warriors bravery, and the real Sacred Defense to the world."

"Unfortunately, Iran and the Sacred Defense have not been properly introduced and well defined to all in the world," he recalled, adding, "many nations even did not know that Iraq, with the support of the big powers, intruded Iran."

Referring to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's emphasis on the need to inform the world about the West-backed Iraqi Ba'athist regime's atrocities, he said that many European countries did not know that their governments supported Saddam and equipped him with chemical weapons to massacre the Iranian people.

He highlighted that Iran Press News Agency, as a young media outlet, has been very influential in broadcasting the truth and is well aware of its duty as a leading international news agency.

The Head of the National Museum of Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense expressed hope that Iran Press News Agency's extraordinary capacities could be used to portray the Islamic Revolution's facts to the world.
