Iran Press/ Iran News: In this ceremony, which was held this morning at Iran's Sports Federation for Disabled, the Tokyo Paralympics medalists were awarded plaques, cash prizes, and gifts by supporters of sports for the disabled.
Members of Iran's sitting volleyball, running, and shooting teams, along with officials from the Iranian Paralympic Committee and Sports Federation for Disabled, and some officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, attended the ceremony.
Shervin Asbaghian, President of Iran's Sports Federation for Disabled, said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency: "Paralympics athletes, in addition to success in sports, have been role models in cultural fields and preservation of Islamic values."
Also, Hadi Rezaei, the head of the Tokyo Paralympic convoy, said in an interview with Iran Press about the ceremony: "The efforts that athletes have made to win medals in the Olympics and Paralympics are commendable, and such a ceremony will increase the motivation of athletes."
