Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf welcomed and met his Parliamentary counterparts from Tajikistan, Pakistan, Serbia, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia, Nicaragua, Ghana, and Syria who have been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new president, Ebrahim Raisi, in Tehran.
Ebrahim Raisi, Iran’s new President Swearing-in ceremony, is due to be held on Thursday (August 5) in the presence of tens of domestic officials and foreign guests from dozens of countries.
Iran's Parliament supports Iran-Tajikistan ties
Iran's Parliament Speaker stressed that Iran's Parliament supports ties between two countries to be extended.
Meeting his Tajik counterpart at Azadi Hotel, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said that Iran and Tajikistan would benefit by extending ties in various fields, economy, and trading in particular.
Finally, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf stressed implementing all agreements inked between two countries.
Expressing his happiness to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new president, Ebrahim Raisi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives for Tajikistan, highlighted how important it is for Tajik to extend multilateral ties with Iran.
Emphasizing extending parliamentary ties between the two countries, Mohammad Taher Zakerzadeh said: "Expanding cooperation between different sections of the parliaments of the two countries, such as specialized commissions and parliamentary friendship groups, will help implement the agreements reached between Tehran and Dushanbe."
Based on the information available so far, 115 officials from 73 countries have announced their readiness to attend the inauguration ceremony; among these officials, 10 heads of state, 20 speakers of parliament, 11 foreign ministers, and 10 other ministers from different countries, as well as special envoys and vice-speakers of parliaments, commission chairpersons and parliamentary delegations will attend the ceremony.
