Iran Press/Asia: The three-day meeting was opened by Pakistan's Interior Minister Mir Zia Ullah Langau.
Iran-Pakistan Joint Border Commission is co-chaired by Iran’s Mohammad Hadi Marashi and Chief Secretary of Pakistan’s Balochistan, Fazil Asghar, Iran Press reported.
Representatives from different organizations, especially from Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province, are part of a 20-member Iranian delegation who will discuss various matters with their Pakistani counterparts.
During the meeting, Iranian Consul General in Quetta Mohammad Rafiyee said: "Important decisions would be made on border issues, counter-terrorism efforts, the illegal contraband trade, drug trafficking, illegal border crossing, and human trafficking.
He said at the conclusion of the meeting an agreement would be signed by Iranian and Pakistani officials.
