Iran opens memorial note for Lt. Gen. Soleimani in Hague

Hague (IP) - Iran's Embassy in Hague, Netherlands, opened memorial note in commemoration of the Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

Iran Press/Europe: A number of foreign envoys and diplomats attended the Iranian embassy and signed the note, expressing sympathy with Iran.

Condemning the US' assassination of Lieutenant General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al- Muhandis, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) second-in-command, hundreds of those people, throughout the Netherlands, who were interested in Iran came to the embassy and expressed condolences over the incident.

The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials, was assassinated by the US air-raid in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and 8 companions.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani traveled to Iraq on the invitation of the Iraqi government.

According to the US Department of Defense, Pentagon, US President Donald Trump issued the order of assassination.

Many countries have so far condemned the US terrorist act.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and Commander al-Muhandis were the prominent figures in fighting the US-backed terrorist groups including ISIS, in western Asia.
