Tehran(IP)-The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade of Iran announced the 80% trade growth between Tehran and Muscat in the last four months.

Iran PressIran News: The relations between Iran and Oman in the last decades have always been based on mutual respect and interests despite the tensions in the Persian Gulf and US efforts to intensify Iranophobia.

Omani officials believe that close relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran a great neighbor. The two countries do not have any territorial and border disputes with each other. Iran's support for Oman has been positively and permanently imprinted in Oman's historical memory.

Alireza Peymanpak, Iran's deputy minister of industry, mine, and trade said at the conference on export opportunities and methods to Oman in Tehran that the trade exchanges between Iran and Oman have grown by 80% in the last four months, and exports have increased from $145 million in the same period. Last year it reached 415 million dollars.

Peymanpak stated that Oman has a long-standing cultural and political relationship with Iran, and the serious determination of the governments in the field of economic activities has facilitated trade and provided conditions for development.

Emphasizing that the strategy of the 13th administration of the Islamic Republic is to develop trade with neighboring countries, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade of Iran stated that various measures had been taken in the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran to facilitate and accelerate trade in the past year.

Since the 13th administration of Iran took office on August 3, 2021, by announcing the establishment of balance in foreign policy, the expansion of cooperation with neighbors and countries in the region has been the priority of its foreign programs.
