Tehran (IP)- A webinar was held at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the initiative of the Ministry's Department of Economic Diplomacy in the presence of the Head of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) and ambassadors and heads of missions representing Iran in neighboring countries.

Iran PressIran News: The participants reviewed the issues and problems existing in the country’s customs affairs in relation to the neighbors and discussed the solutions to promote customs cooperation in order to facilitate and increase trade exchanges with these countries.

During the webinar, Mahdi Safari the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, and the Head of Iran Customs Administration Mohammad Rezvanifar held talks with the heads of Iran’s missions and explored ways to further promote customs conditions with the goal of developing trade relations with neighbors.

In the webinar, Mohammad Rezvanifar announced the plans of customs to facilitate and accelerate customs formalities to increase the volume of commercial exchanges, especially with neighboring countries.

The IRICA head said: "In 2022, the volume of trade between Iran and neighboring countries was 58 billion dollars, of which 30 billion dollars were exported and 28 billion dollars were imported."
