Iran Press/ Iran News: The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union consisting of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
The volume of mutual trade between Eurasian countries reached the level of 65.5 billion dollars in 2021.
One of the goals of this economic union is to facilitate trade and establish a common foreign tariff among member countries and harmonize customs procedures.
Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Alireza Peyman-Pak and Kyrgyz Ambassador to Iran Turdakun Sydykov held a meeting in Tehran, and the parties discussed and exchanged views on the development of economic relations and trade cooperation.
In this meeting, the head of the Iran TPO said: "Joint production to meet the needs of the market of the countries of the Eurasia region in various fields is a very suitable opportunity that should be planned and focused on."
Peyman-Pak added: "Iranian manufacturing companies are ready to increase their joint production for supply in this region based on the support provided in Kyrgyzstan."
The Kyrgyz ambassador to Tehran said for his part: "The Kyrgyz embassy has extensive planning for the development and promotion of joint investments and the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries."
Sydykov added: "The development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and the establishment of direct flights, especially from Bishkek to Mashhad or Tehran, are other important issues in the development of trade and economic cooperation between Iran and Kyrgyzstan."
