The Iranian embassy in Japan tweeted: Rahmani Movahed, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan, and his Japanese counterpart in Tehran, Ikawa Kazutoshi, during their meeting on Saturday, stressed the joint efforts to promote friendly relations between the two countries.
The tweet reads: "This year, 1400 in the Persian calendar, we will follow up on the implementation of effective programs and efforts to strengthen cooperation."
Last year was the 90th anniversary of the beginning of official relations between Iran and Japan. 219
