Tehran (IP)- Iranian Ambassador to Spain, has highlighted Iran's significant role in West Asia and the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran news: In an article published in Larason newspaper, Reza Zabib emphasized that Iran is an influential and constructive actor in the region.

The ambassador stated that West Asia is a crucial hub for regional and international developments.

He stressed the importance of maintaining and strengthening maritime security in the area, which has been a critical focus for the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Zabib called on all countries to contribute to this effort and reap mutual benefits from it.

The ambassador also criticized foreign military presence in the region, arguing that it does not enhance security, including maritime security. He urged an end to such approaches.

Zabib further highlighted Iran's commitment to regional integration and problem-solving through dialogue.

He expressed Tehran's willingness to restore relations with Saudi Arabia as part of its principled policy.

Regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Zabib acknowledged its success as a symbol of multilateralism.

However, he criticized the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the agreement, which violated Security Council Resolution 2231.

Additionally, he expressed disappointment with the European partners' failure to fulfill their commitments.

Despite these challenges, Zabib emphasized Iran's continued adherence to the JCPOA and its willingness to revive it.

He concluded by noting that even prominent politicians in the region recognize Iran's effective command and dedication to suppressing ISIS.
