Iran Press/ Iran news: According to the memorandum, the two sides have announced their readiness to provide visa facilities for tourists from the two countries, as well as the exchange of laws, instructions and banking facilities in the field of tourism investment and investment in infrastructure projects, including hotel construction.
Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ezzatollah Zarghami, termed the memorandum as facilitating cultural and tourism relations between the two countries and noted that the memorandum emphasizes removing barriers to land tourism throughout the year.
Zarghami called pilgrimage tourism the most important area of cooperation between the two sides and stated that Arbaeen March is the largest human community in the world, and Iran is seeking its global registration.
The Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities of Iraq Hassan Nazim, for his part, pointed to the importance of religious tourism between Iran and Iraq and the holding of the Arbaeen March and added that it should be redefined according to the new concept of post-COVID tourism.
