Yerevan (IP) - Iran's ambassador in Yerevan, during the meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, once again emphasized Tehran's clear position on preserving Armenia's territorial integrity.

Iran PressAsia: On September 19, Azerbaijan attacked the Karabakh region, claiming it was an anti-terrorist operation. Armenia denied having military forces in the area and condemned Azerbaijan's action as a massive invasion.

Mehdi Sobhani, Iran's ambassador to Yerevan, stated during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Iran supports the preservation of Armenia's territorial integrity.

Sobhani emphasized the need to protect the security and rights of Armenians in Karabakh. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also expressed his hope that the relations between Iran and Armenia will be developed and strengthened.

Pashinyan stated that Iran and Armenia should maintain their active relations during the difficult times of the region.
