Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf in his report during the video link of the MPs with the Leader of the Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that the 11th Majlis tries to prove the efficiency of the Majlis in practice instead of words and slogans.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly presented a report on the approaches, programs, and actions of the parliament during the video conference of the MPs with the Leader.

Parts of the text of the report of the Speaker of the Majles to the Leader of the Revolution is as follows:

The 11th parliament was formed at a time when the country is under the most intense economic, security, and cultural confrontations with the enemy, and it is inevitable to pay attention to some bitter truths.

Saturated managerial inefficiencies, with the wrong approaches that have been exacerbated, especially in recent years, have made it difficult for people, especially the middle class and the poor, to live a normal life.

Disorder in currency, cars, coin, and housing market disruptions, rising unemployment, and unbridled inflation in key areas needed by people, such as basic goods and rent, have also plagued society. Some old local problems, such as water and environmental shortages, have doubled these difficulties.

Turning parliament into a revolutionary, agile institution to solve the country's problems

It is in this situation that the current parliament, knowing these issues, has set its main goal and effort to solve the people's problems and turn the parliament into a revolutionary and agile institution for solving the problem, because we believe that this situation is not in the dignity of honorable people of Iran and not commensurate with the vast capacities that exist in our country.

We believe that in addition to the difficult conditions and threats, there are great opportunities that if we use them with calculated planning and management, in the remaining 5 years until the end of the country's 20-Year Vision, we can achieve a significant portion of the vision's goals.

The approaches of the Majlis is smartization, transparency, boosting the role of the people and efficiency. Our focus is improving the quality of the processes and functions of the Majls in order to achieve an objective and tangible result in solving economic problems and pursuing national and local problems.

Boosting the role of the people means meaningful and effective participation of people in all processes, transparency is about creating transparency in matters that create rights and duties for the people, it means smartization, systematizing and electronicizing all processes, and efficiency also means decentralization, agility, and redesign of administrative and executive processes and systems.

Speaker unveils package of solving economic problems in presence of Leader

Therefore, in short, in order to achieve its goal, which is to solve the national and local economic problems of the people, the 11th Majlis has made it necessary to create the vital structures and follow the people-oriented economy, and to achieve this goal, it believes in modernizing the country's economy with a diligent approach and revolutionary orientation.

For this reason, the current parliament, with the consensus of all members, has the "People-oriented Economic Package" on its agenda for "economic transformation for the benefit of the people" on five topics, each of which defines a set of legislative and regulatory plans and actions.

First topic of people-oriented economy package; Reforming country's budgeting structure

In the first topic, the country's budgeting structure should be reformed and the goal of sustainable income-generation and useful spending should be considered. The country's budget can be based on without oil revenues, and by reducing unnecessary costs, reforming state-owned enterprises and institutional budgeting reforms, and then online monitoring on how the budget is spent through the Supreme Audit Court of Iran, a fully operational structure can be achieved.

Modernization of the country's tax system

The second topic in the continuation of the reform of the budgeting structure is that the modernization of the country's tax system should be on the agenda in favor of the majority of the people and in order to strengthen production. Unfortunately, the current state of the country's tax collection is not effective. Competitive activities against the production must be costly.

Improving the livelihoods of low-income groups

In the third topic, the parliament considers itself obliged to implement comprehensive supportive policies and improve the livelihoods of the low-income groups. This is an indicator taken from your message to the opening of the parliament, with which we set all our priorities. It is clear that in the event of a fair reform of the country's tax and social security system, the governing system will have full control over the household's income.

Business boom and job creation

In the fourth topic, we in the parliament believe that in order to gain the surge in production, business prosperity and job creation, first of all, barriers to production, and monopolies must be removed expertly, and secondly, which is very important, through the capital market, especially by closely monitoring the performance of the stock market, but the financing of production and implementation of large development projects on the agenda.

Development of foreign trade and non-oil exports

The fifth topic of the parliament's plan is that the field of foreign trade and non-oil exports of the country needs a change of strategy and fundamental modernization. The truth is that this area has serious shortcomings. The lack of attention of the country's foreign policymakers to the field of interaction with neighbors, regional marketing, and export facilitation has kept huge capacities suspended.

It is clear that in the face of increasing sanctions, more effective measures must be taken in the field of economy and foreign trade in order to secure the country's economy, neutralize the policy of maximum pressure of the enemy, enter a new phase of active resistance, and stabilize the geography of resistance which empower the defense, political and security strategies of the system.
