Iran Press/ Iran news: Responding to Iran Press question on Europe's conformity with the US in extending Iran's arms embargo, Rabiei stated that Europe's policy vis-a-vis the US is failed so the EU must change it.
Europeans are jeopardizing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action's (JCPOA) security by their contradictory manner, and they say something but act differently, he noted.
The official went on to say that Europeans who could play their role as the decisive world power must not undermine their credit with their policies toward the United States.
E3's stance on Iran's Arm embargo is worrying, Rabiei highlighted.
Europeans must determine whether they are committed to the UN Security Council Resolution 2231, there is no other way around, Rabiei noted.
The UN Security Council's anti-Iran arms embargo was imposed in 2006 and 2007 to ban arms sales to Iran and arms exports from Iran.
Under the JCPOA agreement, Iran's arms embargo must be lifted on October 20, 2020, after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report confirmed that Iran's nuclear program was peaceful.
On May 8, 2018, US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew his country from JCPOA by violating Washington's obligations under this agreement and announced the return of nuclear sanctions against Iran.
