Tehran (IP) - In a meeting to receive the credentials of the new Pakistani Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi, President Hassan Rouhani emphasized the development and deepening of bilateral relations in all fields.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to the restrictions created in the border exchanges between Iran and Pakistan due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Rouhani said: "I hope to return to pre-Corona conditions and the border markets open soon."

Referring to his meetings and contacts with the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, the President also stressed the need for implementation of the two countries' agreements.

Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Pakistan's new ambassador to Tehran, also said: "We consider Iran's security as Pakistan's and will continue to support Iran in the international community."

The new Pakistani ambassador added that the situation on the two countries' trade borders will soon return to pre-Corona conditions.
