Iran\'s Head of Judiciary Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi

Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Judiciary Chief said defending Palestine is a global cause and has gained much more importance for Muslims due to the first qibla of Muslims in Quds.

Iran PressIran news: In a statement issued on Thursday on the occasion of the International  Quds Day, Iran's Head of Judiciary Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi remarked that it was because of the paramount importance of the humanitarian and Islamic aspects that Late Imam Khomeini (RH) assigned the issue of Palestine as one of the Iranian nation’s pivots of the righteous campaign.

Raisi said that it is over 7 decades that the US and some European countries tried to expel the Palestinian people from their homeland through bribery, force, and propaganda, depriving them of their basic rights that are the right to determine their fate and the right of ownership.

He pointed out to the many Palestinian lives claimed, homes destroyed, and lands occupied by the Israeli regime and noted that such big oppression is enough so that any free-hearted human, regardless of nationality, race, and religion rise for defending the right of the oppressed Palestinian nation.

Referring to the US-made plot of ‘Deal of the Century’ to sell Palestine’s territory, the Iranian Judiciary Chief asserted that Palestine, as well as the region’s nation’s along with many other countries of the world, continue to consider it their duty to defend the Palestinian issue, thwarting the plot which was pursued under other rubrics before.

He went on to address the changed form of the Quds Day ceremony in the current year due to the coronavirus pandemic, saying people still express their support of Palestine and hatred against the Israeli regime in various creative ways.

The message of the Iranian people and authorities on the threshold of Quds International Day is that determining the fate of Palestine is the right of its people and that no bullying power can deprive them of the right, he said in the statement.
