Tehran (IP) - Government spokesman Ali Rabiei after the weekly cabinet meeting has said that the US, as used to be in the past, punished the countries whose people and its governments were not co-operating with that country.

Iran PressIran news: As the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Saturday: "The US stands with Iranian protesters", Iran Press correspondent asked Government spokesman Ali Rabiei, about Pompeo's position on unrest in Iran.

In an answer to this question, Rabiei said: "The US involvement in the internal affairs of other countries is a bullying tradition. If the people of the country do not cooperate with the US to plot against their country, Washington will resort to provocative ways in its interaction with that country".

"The enemies have sanctioned Iran to launch chaos in the country," Rabiei highlighted.

Condemning some foreign countries for interfering in the unrest in Iran, he said: "This information is not confidential, that information has been repeatedly admitted by the countries".

"The efforts of the Western media also show that they have intervened and their involvement has been obvious," Rabiei added.

"The Iranian people will not forget the countries that incited the insurgency and the media that incited the rioters with the money of Iran's enemies," the spokesman concluded.
