Iran Press/ Iran News: At the unveiling ceremony of the recombinant COVID vaccine of Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences, dubbed as 'Noora' on Sunday, Saeed Namaki stated: "In fighting coronavirus, today, what we have at our disposal is more than what we lack."
He has stressed that those who imposed sanctions on Iran did not know that the Iranian nation is stronger and more steadfast than before since it had undergone 8 years of imposed war and left a brilliant record.
He pointed out: "Today Iran has as many beds in hospitals as needed, and there is no shortage of ventilators for COVID patients."
He said the Iranian knowledge-based companies created an epic to meet medical needs during the pandemic.
Namaki stated that 470 ventilators had been installed in hospitals, noting that more than 160 CT scans were sent to medical centers and hospitals across the country amid sanctions.
The Iranian 'Noora' COVID-19 vaccine started its first clinical trial phase on Sunday, June 27, in the presence of IRGC chief-commander and Iran’s health minister.
The 'Noora' COVID-19 vaccine was made of a recombinant protein which has the least side effects.
