Beirut (IP)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran met and talked with a group of Iranians living in Lebanon at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut and stressed the importance of preserving the national identity of Iranians in all corners of the world.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and talked with members and families of diplomats and embassy staff, officials and members of some Iranian institutions, as well as a group of Iranians living in Lebanon on Friday night.

In the meeting, a number of those present discussed their issues in the field of Iran-Lebanon relations and the fields of their activities in the country. Aspects of economic and commercial relations as well as cultural relations between Iran and Lebanon were raised by the attendees.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran expressed his satisfaction at the presence of embassy colleagues, officials, and employees of Iranian institutions and resident Iranians, and emphasized the importance of preserving the national identity of Iranians in all corners of the world, as well as the importance of paying attention to their families and children.

Amir-Abdollahian, continuing his regional trip, arrived in Lebanon on Thursday and was welcomed by the Lebanese authorities.

Before traveling to Lebanon, Iran's foreign minister went to Damascus and met and talked with the president, prime minister, and high-ranking officials of Syria.
