IP- Iran’s Foreign Minister and Amir Khan Mutaqi, acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan’s ruling system, held talks over issues of mutual interest and considered women's rights in the Afghan society as the Taliban tries to convince the world community for formal recognization.

Iran PressAsia:The meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighbors, attended by the foreign ministers and officials of Iran, Pakistan, China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Qatar, began on Wednesday in the Chinese city of Tunxi and ended Thursday.

In the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister said the formation of an inclusive government with the participation of all ethnic groups would guarantee security, stability, and development of Afghanistan. Amir Abdollahian then underlined the need to form an inclusive government in Afghanistan.

this is while the schools for girls were supposed to reopen throughout Afghanistan by the Taliban after months of closing, but the Ministry of Education under the Taliban ruling system announced that the secondary schools for girls remain closed until further notification.

The top Iranian diplomat also said Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) underline the necessity of observing women's rights. He described women's right to education at all levels and social participation as a critical issue.

Amir Khan Mutaqi, for his part, promised in the meeting that Afghanistan would not be a launching pad for threats against neighbors and stressed the need to fight terrorism.

He also said the water treaty between Iran and Afghanistan must be implemented.
