Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Energy said the presence of Iran's electricity goods and engineering services companies in Africa, South America, and Eastern Asia indicates Iranians' reliance on their own potentials during four decades.

Iran Press/Iran News: Reza Ardakanian stressing to the water and electricity as the country's two main infrastructures, noted Iran intends to extend its water and electricity engineering services not at home but to the region.

"It is for the fifth or sixth year that the utility engineering services are placed successively on top of the export of engineering services, with a 57-percent share," Ardakanian noted.  

Ardakanian made the remarks on Monday at the weekly opening ceremony of utility projects in Tehran, attended also by Tehran's Governor.

In the ceremony, the ministry opened a project of water supply from a Mamloo Dam for the southeast part of Tehran, with a 30-million cubic meter discharge per year.

The Iranian minister said no one welcomes sanctions but as they are imposed, Iran will definitely make significant achievements while depending on its domestic capacities and manpower.

Tehran Province Governor, Anoushiravan Mohseni-Bandpay who attended in the ceremony referred to water and electricity as two cultural and social infrastructures on which people's life depends, and the consumption of which will be corrected in the country by the government amid the current tough financial conditions.

Bandpay also pointed out to the coronavirus outbreak and said during the crisis nothing was halted to provide people's welfare but strengthened.

He expressed hope all activities will continue nonstop with the health protocols being implemented and social distancing being kept.
